You can download the neccessary "Utilities and SDK for Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications" for Vista here:

From the MMC-Plugin, you should be able to configure the client. Then you can map the drive as you do with any (Windows-based) network drive. A rather lengthy TechNet article is here:

-Remove all netinfo stuff again
-set hostmanager as local with informations from VMWare (manager virtual -networks) -> network DCHP. copy all information !
-resolv.conf make inside of /etc
-VMware set to use NAT
-reboot
